People message me about partner codes all the time. Same question every time: can you get free trades or lower spreads?
Nope. AvaTrade doesn't charge commission on forex. You pay the spread. The spread is the fee. A partner code won't affect it.
Code 128979 unlocks the deposit bonus. Extra funds in your account based on how much you put in. Nothing more complicated than that.
How much bonus do you receive?
A $1,000 deposit gets you $200.
$2,000 gets you $400.
Deposits between $5,000 and $9,999 get $1,000.
Deposit $100,000+ and you can get up to $14,000. Not many traders reach that level.
British traders get £160 bonus on £800 deposits. Top tier reaches £11,200.
Minimum to open an account is $100. Bonus requires $1,000 minimum.
The code field isn't obvious
Registration page. Below the phone field, there's a small link saying "Have a Partner Code?". Click the arrow. A text box appears. Type **128979**.
Easy to miss since it's collapsed by default.
If the system rejects it, don't panic. Finish signing up. Contact support before funding. Request partner code 128979 be added. They do this manually all the time.
Bonus withdrawal conditions
A trading volume condition applies.
Around 10,000 units per dollar of bonus. A $200 bonus means trading 2,000,000 units before that $200 unlocks. Can take time with smaller position sizes. Regular trading gets you there sooner than you'd expect.
Your deposit is yours. Withdraw it whenever you want. Only the bonus has the restriction.
One click here thing worth knowing: while the bonus is locked, it still counts toward your margin. Allows for slightly larger trades. For someone still learning, that buffer can keep you in the game long enough to figure things out.
